AWAY

AWAY studies the construction of personal identity and how it is influenced by culture, heritage and interpersonal relationships. This study starts from sensations that address you when you feel strange and out of context in a society that is not your own, and at the same time, it’s about the small things that connect us and make us see that this separation does not exist. People who find themselves in a new cultural context, whether due to having the luxury of choice, the need to leave or the obligation to flee, are confronted with a series of feelings, thoughts and ideals that are often impossible to express. in words. This experience of displacement and decontextualization of the person reveals vulnerability and at the same time the strength of being.
