An abstraction of marriage in a visual and sound creation.
Irene Cortina and Paul Dill are “novensanos”, this Valencian word (place of origin of I. Cortina) is used to refer to the newly married couple.
A study on partnership based on affinity, an intimate relationship where these two people, and therefore the dance and music on stage, are free of mutual subordination and are able to produce something independent, but loaded with syntonies and similarities that reveal the destiny between the two parties, without the use of reciprocal ties and constraints.
Their actions are reinforced by a suggestive and plastic presentation of physical materials, soundscapes and light, which allow the spectator not only to observe what is happening on stage, but to open a door to his own inner mute, his associations of ideas and sensations. Although we do not get up from our seats, Cia. Irene Cortina gives us the gift of a sunrise, takes us to a natural setting and walks with us through a summer night.
Remaining faithful to its line of work, Cia. Irene Cortina raises its scenic proposal from honesty and simplicity, betting on sensitivity as its most powerful weapon to reach the public, which is welcome to contemplate the work of these two people, focused on creating something together, without the ambition of an end, but delivered to do, to be aware of the way, the company of the other and the complicity of being union, by the choice of staying together.
