AWAY

AWAY estudia la construcción de la identidad personal y de cómo ésta se encuentra influenciada por la cultura, el patrimonio y las relaciones interpersonales.Este estudio parte de un cúmulo de sensaciones que te abordan al sentirte extraño y fuera de contexto en una sociedad que no es la propia, y a su vez, de pequeñas cosas que nos conectan y nos hacen ver que esa separación no existe.
Las personas que se encuentran en un nuevo contexto cultural, ya sea por haber tenido el lujo de elegir, la necesidad de marcharse o la obligación de huir, se ven confrontadas con una serie de sentimientos, pensamientos e ideales que a menudo son imposibles de expresar en palabras.
Esta experiencia de desplazamiento y descontextualización de la persona revela la vulnerabilidad y a la vez la fuerza del ser.

Esta pieza va acompañada de la muestra de un vídeo a modo de instalación, previo a la actuación. Por ejemplo, en el foyer del teatro durante la compra de entradas. El vídeo consiste de 10 entrevistas que realicé en Berlín en 2019 a diferentes inmigrantes de distintos países y continentes, residentes en Berlín.

Open permanent artistic research in Berlin.

Permanent “R” was created to open up a space for artistic research, which is not limited in time nor bound to the production of a specific work. The project seeks the continuity and exchange of artistic research in an open and inclusive space. Different artists from diverse disciplines with an interest in exploring ways to expand consciousness through movement and perception, are invited to meet every two weeks to inquire burning questions and exchange practices. The research will be directed by the interests of the group members, which might be a subject that you personally want to explore: a concept, a sound motivation, a tactile experiment. Each participant will have the opportunity (but not the obligation) to direct a research session or propose a question or a topic they want to work for one or several sessions. This practice will help us build strategies to improve our individual ways of researching at the same time as it will open up new ways of work.
